Can I have a free trial?

Yes, mail to sms@tristonsoft.com for a free trial account. Do mention your contact phone for info to create account.

How do I send SMS using your trial account?

The interface is quite easy to use. If you face difficulties call support for help.

Is there a limit to how many numbers I can send at one time?

As such there is no limit if you submit Bulk SMS or SMS from file or phonebook but while submitting SMS from Send SMS link or Send SMS (Comma Separated) link, you should try and limit the number of comma separated destination addresses to approximately 1000.

How can I make a payment for SMS credit?

You can make payments online by credit card for credits up to 10000 through PayPal. For credits more than that payment is accepted via Cheque, Demand Draft or payment can be directly deposited to our bank account.

How after the payment will I get my account activated?

After you make payment, fill in the registration form. Send the details of payment via mail to sms@tristonsoft.com. After your payment is confirmed your account will get activated. Do mention your registration number generated once the registration form is duly filled and submitted.

I need a proper Invoice after the payment. From where I can request this?

You can request an invoice by sending an email to sms@tristonsoft.com.Scanned copy of the invoice duly stamped will be sent to you on your e-mail address.

What all location can deliver the SMS?

We deliver the Messages to most of the service provider across the country. For more details check http://smstrain.com/map.html

Can I send special characters in SMS?

Yes, you can send any special character of a US Keyboard.

What is CDMA & GSM sender ID?

Before you start sending SMS, you need to set your GSM Sender ID This is the name which displays on the receiver's mobile phone. You can set any name (not more than 11 characters) as your GSM ID which belongs to you or your company but in case of CDMA sender id you will have to use a 10 digit number provided by the operator.

Why can I not use a number as GSM id?

Due to new Supreme Court Ruling and TRAI notice user cannot use any number as sender Id to send SMS.

Why can’t I use my own number to send messages to CDMA users?

Due to new Supreme Court Ruling and TRAI notice, we are not allowed to use any mobile no. as sender ID. The operator has allotted a few numbers and only one of those can be used to send messages.

Is it possible to reply back to that number?

No

What can be done by the user in that case?

User can use his own number in the message body in order get replies to his message.

Are you a reseller or what?

We have direct connectivity with mobile operators (SMSC). Because of this high volumes can be managed directly at our end whereas if you buy from a reseller, he cannot help much in case of any problems.

What is the through put(speed for sending SMS)? What will be my speed of SMS delivery?

We currently have a through put of 70 SMS per sec. But this is shared between all users so at some times SMS may get delayed in case the load is too high. If your requirement is high and want a priority based delivery, you can contact sms@tristonsoft.com for special packages.

How will I get confirmation whether my SMS have been delivered?

We provide online real time delivery reports. You get confirm report about the status of your SMS.

Is there any restriction on the number of characters in the message?

You can submit maximum 160 characters in 1 SMS but in case you want to use long SMS, you can do that but more credits will be used depending on the length of SMS.

Can I send message to anyone for my product advertisement or any such purpose?

Messages cannot be sent to NDNC numbers.

Can I send binary SMS, like ring tones, picture messages, operator logo etc?

No, this service is not available yet.

We need a proper proposal and written contract before buying any service or credits from you. To whom I should contact?

We provide formal proposal only to resellers and Bulk SMS users, for volume less than 1 lac a month we don't provide any written contract or proposal. Please email at sms@tristonsoft.com for further details.
